Who would think that Raphael (the Italian painter of the Renaissance) would go together with tango (the Argentinian music and social dance)?
Well, they did. And splendidly well too. At the Victoria & Albert Museum in London, where tango dancing took place in the splendid Raphael room – surrounded by paintings and beautiful works of art.
Late Friday at the V&A with tango in the Raphael room was a really special event. Elizabeth Knock and Luis Rodriguez– teachers of “Tango y nada mas” gave free introduction classes to tango and a professional tango DJ kept us dancing till closing time.
Around 300 people turned up for social dancing – a truly unforgettable event!
